Savannah jazz legend Teddy Adams will discuss the story of jazz in Savannah, in terms of styles, players, social context and popularity. He will describe growing up as a musician in the time of segregation and Jim Crow laws, and explore the vibrant cultural and economic center that formerly existed on West Broad Street. This is a rare chance to hear from a musician who has experienced eight decades of musical life in our city.
