The Demetrius Doctor Trio and the Wives consists of musicians that grew up in various Gullah/Geechee infused African American churches in Charleston, SC. This group blends this experience with the structure of Jazz and Fusion to create a unique brew of the rhythms, feelings, and stories straight from their roots in the Lowcountry.
