2021 JUNO Award winner, Jocelyn Gould, has been called “a leader in the next generation of greatmainstream jazz guitarists,” by Howard Paul, CEO of Benedetto Guitars. Her joyful sound hasbeen influenced by jazz guitar greats Wes Montgomery, Grant Green,Joe Paa, and Kenny Burrellamong others. Jocelyn has recorded and performed internationally with GRAMMY-nominatedvocalist Freddy Cole, JUNO-winning trumpeter and vocalist Bria Skonberg, Michael Dease, EtienneCharles, Randy Napoleon, and Diego Rivera.Her debut album,Elegant Traveler,won the 2021JUNO Award for Jazz Album of the Year: Solo

The Left Bank Big Band, underthe direction of Dr. Matthew White, is the premiere ensembleof theUniversity of South Carolina Jazz Studies Program. Performinga variety of musical stylesthatrepresents the rich and varied history of big band performance and improvised music, theyhaverecently performed with Michael Dease, Mimi Jones, and various other jazz luminaries. InSummer2025, the ensemble will tour Europe with invitations to perform at the Vienne (France),Montreux(Switzerland), and Umbria (Italy) jazz festivals.
